    • Obtained passing score on the MN-approved assessment ParaPro or ParaEducator, which measures math and reading skills (Certification).
    • Previous instructional experience supporting summer programming.
    • Experience with project-based learning

    • Successful previous experience in student engagement
    • The Richfield Public School District is currently accepting applications for Summer Programs Middle School Instructional Paraprofessionals at Richfield Middle School. This position will support the instruction of students who are currently in grades 5-7 (rising sixth-eighth grade).

      Student hours at RMS are 9:00 a.m.-1:20 p.m. Monday-Thursday.
      Paraprofessional hours are 8:30 a.m - 1:30 p.m.

      Summer Programming 2025 Dates:
      PD Day (June 17): Schedule to be determined
      Week 1 (June 23-26): Monday-Thursday
      Week 2 (June 30- July 3): Monday-Thursday
      Week 3 (July 7-10): Monday-Thursday
      Week 4 (July 14-17): Monday-Thursday
      Week 5 (July 21-24): Monday-Thursday

      Professional Development:
      To support the middle school summer program staff at RMS, professional development and orientation will be provided on June 17. Staff are expected to attend and will be compensated for this professional development/orientation day.

      Requirements:
      Must be highly qualified providing supporting documentation having 1 of the 3 listed below:
      • Completed two years of study (equaling 60 or more credit hours) from an accredited institution of high education (Transcripts).
      • Have an Associate's degree or higher from an accredited institution of higher education (Transcripts).
      • Obtained passing score on the MN-approved assessment ParaPro or ParaEducator, which measures math and reading skills (Certification).

      Preferred Qualifications:
      • Previous instructional experience supporting summer programming.
      • Experience with project-based learning
      • Experience with team teaching
      • Successful previous experience in student engagement

      Salary Range: $21.19-$24.30 (Based on education and experience)
      *Beginning of summer programming 2025, school year paraprofessionals who work as a paraprofessional in the summer school program will receive a stipend amount of a $1.00 over and above their base hourly rate of pay for the summer program hours.*
