    • Implement all components of the NHPS Extended School Year services
    • Supervise students as assigned in designated by IEP
    • Provides support to caseload in pool of 300 students (frequently larger population of students with disabilities than regular school year)
    • Provides appropriate accommodations and modifications, working with classroom teacher, in accordance with IEP’s for identified students.
    • Push in support and pull out resource when needed, in accordance with IEP.
    • Maintain all required data and record-keeping for summer programming, including a summative student work sample portfolio.
    • Instruct students in a classroom setting and foster a positive classroom atmosphere conducive to learning.
    • Monitor and record student attendance in Powerschool.
    • Determine and implement classroom management procedures and communicate documented student incidents to building leaders.
    • Administer mandated assessments and maintain documentation of student progress
    • Maintain professional relationships with building lead, curriculum lead, parents, students, co-workers and other stakeholders.
    • Adhere to established laws, policies, rules and regulations, including those policies and procedures adopted by NH
    • Be able to effectively use technology to deliver instruction, communicate with stakeholders and be able to work cooperatively and collaboratively with all staff and students.
    • Ability to communicate effectively using written and oral communication skills and use effective, positive interpersonal skills

      Duties and Responsibilities
      The following job duties and responsibilities are essential functions of the High School summer program as a certified teacher position, in addition to any duties as may be assigned by the building lead or program director for the duration of the program:

      *Requirements: CT Teacher certification 165 (comprehensive special education)
