  Summer Sensory & Cognition Internship

We are currently looking for a Sensory & Cognition Intern at our Princeton, NJ office.

  Internships begin the first week of June through the third week of August.
  Our standard working hours are Monday – Friday (37.5 hours per week)

  Your key responsibilities

  • Accurately prepare samples of materials for sensory studies
  • Run sensory panels by following instructions of other team members
  • Maintain a well-organized lab and inventory
  • Maintain and operate olfactometers and other instrumentation
  • Assist with data analyses
  • Assist with software programming of sensory tests

  You bring

  • Currently working on completion of a Bachelor’s degree in Food Science, Chemistry, Psychology, or related field and have completed at least two full years of graduate study prior to the start of the internship
  • Strong interest in any of the following fields: sensory science, neuroscience, cognitive psychology, or related field. Previous lab experience highly desirable
  • Keen eye for deail & organization - do you pay attention to the minute details of a project or task?
  • Excellent communication & enthusiasm - do you have the ability to communicate clearly and concisely? Do you bring egenery to performing a task?
  • Basic computer knowledge and high comfort level with learning new software
  • Candidates must be available to work full-time (37.5 hours per week) for 12 weeks beginning on June 3, 2024 – August 23, 2024
