      Job Summary

      As a Summer Student on the Deployment Services team, you will play a key role in supporting administrative functions and helping the team maintain essential documents, resources, and communications. This position offers hands-on experience working on a variety of administrative tasks while supporting the operation of engineering projects. You will be responsible for updating and maintaining documentation, managing internal collaboration tools, assisting with the preparation of materials, and ensuring the accuracy of critical information.

      Job Description

      The summer student will be exposed to a variety of tasks and areas within Deployment Services as well as ATS Learning Standards and Quality Department:

      Compilation and Maintenance of Information:

      • Transition employee paper records to digital storage systems.
      • Manage access and permissions for internal SharePoint sites and related collaboration tools.
      • Assist in updating key engineering documents.
      • Participate in managing project-related files and ensuring they are up-to-date and accessible.

      General Administrative Support:

      • Assist with the maintenance and updates of SharePoint and other internal collaboration platforms.
      • Support the creation and distribution of electronic publications, documents, and reports.
      • Convert and organize various documents (e.g., PDF conversion, scanning) to support a paperless environment.
      • Manage and organize project archives and assist with sending documents for long-term storage.

      Responsibilities:

      • Maintain and update documentation, and online resources to ensure accurate and timely information.
      • Organize large volumes of project and employee data and materials into accessible, user-friendly formats.
      • Assist in preparing and formatting documents for presentation, publication, and archiving.

      Desired Skills:

      • Active Student in an Engineering Program
      • Strong communication skills (English required).
      • Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail.
      • Ability to handle multiple tasks, prioritize work, and meet deadlines.
      • Experience with SharePoint Online or other collaboration platforms (NINTEX forms or similar is an asset).
      • Proficiency with MS Office 365 (especially PowerPoint, Word, and Excel) and familiarity with other data management tools like PowerBI.
      • Ability to work well in a small team as well as independently.
      • Basic understanding of data management practices and archiving techniques.
      • Strong writing skills and experience with formatting documents to corporate standards.

      Working Conditions:

      • This position is a full-time, 5-day per week role based onsite at the Technical System Centre (TSC).
