  10 Week Paid Student Nurse Internship

  As a Student Nurse Intern, under direct supervision, you will assist with selected routine and technical aspects of nursing care to patients of all ages. You will work within job scope to meet the requirements of the Joint Commission and other applicable federal, state, and local regulatory or accrediting agencies. You will assist with maintaining a physical environment which promotes healing.
  
  Spend Summer 2024 at Essentia Health as a Student Nurse Intern in on of the following locations:
  -Duluth
  -Virginia
  -Moose Lake
  -Deer River
  -Aurora
  -Superior
  
  Departments Available (depending on location):
  
  - Intensive Care Unit (ICU)
  - Float Pool
  - Emergency Department (ED)
  - Medical/Surgical
  - Surgery
  - Birthing Center
  -Neonatal ICU
  -Maternal Child Health Float Pool
  -Orthotrauma
  -Neurotrauma
  -Cardiac/Telemetry
  -Oncology
  -Behavioral Health
  -Rehab

  Education Qualifications:

  Internship Requirements:

  - Must be enrolled in accredited school of nursing or a nursing program approved by the state board of nursing in the state the internship will occur

  - Associate degree students: must have completed two semesters of nursing clinical prior to Summer 2024 - MINNESOTA SITES ONLY

  - Minimum grade point average of 3.0

  - Must be able to commit to 32- 40 hours/week for 8 - 10 weeks (up to 400 hours for the entire summer) night, day, and weekend shifts

  - Students with full/part- time summer class loads will have adjusted hour requirements and must be able to commit to 32 hours every 2 weeks

  Licensure/Certification Qualifications:

  Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification within 1 month of hire

  Please also note, this is a temporary status position and is not eligible for benefits
