Orientation staff are required to stay on campus for six overnight events. Staff will stay in the Palmetto House or Magnolia House with new students and provide programming. Orientation staff are expected to interact in a very positive manner with prospective students, parents, faculty and staff. Orientation staff will help prospective students understand the opportunities available at Upstate and assist them with scheduling classes for the fall semester. Assist with phones and student service in Enrollment Services offices.Qualifications Minimum Qualifications:
* Have two semesters of coursework completed at Upstate before summer 2024.
* Have excellent communication skills.
* Be knowledgeable of Upstate campus.
* Have a minimum GPA of 2.75.* Be able to attend mandatory one day training in May
Preferred Qualifications:* Enjoys working with other students
* Being involved in activities on campus or in community
* Have good presentation skills
* Have a 3.0 GPA
