What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Participate in various research projects related to ecology and limnology
- Assist in data collection and analysis pertaining to aquatic ecosystems
- Contribute to educational outreach and communication efforts
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team on environmental initiatives
- Support the operations of the Hasler Laboratory of Limnology and Trout Lake Station
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Commitment to a full-time schedule of 40 hours per week
- Availability to work from mid/end of May to mid/end of August 2025
- Ability to work in both Madison and Northern Wisconsin locations
- Strong interest in ecology, limnology, and environmental science
- Willingness to engage in team-oriented projects and initiatives
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Previous experience or coursework in ecology, limnology, chemistry, or related fields
- Strong communication skills for outreach and public engagement
- Familiarity with research methodologies in environmental science
- Passion for environmental conservation and education
- Ability to adapt to varying work environments and conditions
