FUNCTIONAL JOB DESCRIPTION

Job Title Sundries Operator

Job Objective To deliver and maintain supplies to Flex Pack workstations and the Inbound Dock.

Essential Job Function

Perform keyboard transactions to operate core systems, such as Mandate and Sundries Inventory Management software Place cartons of sundries (cardboard, hanger bags, etc) on pallet and in storage area Unload sundries containers form truck to skid Use RF Scanner Coordinate and partner with Inbound Clerk concerning sundry shipments received Maintain minimal sundries and supply levels in pod and intermediate storage areas Move full skids and place in intermediate storage and pods Break down skids into units, individual carton amounts or boxes of hangers and place in pods in established quantities Equipment operation of pallet rider and pallet jack, lowboy and RC truck Analyze LABS and Workload Management reports to determine projected sundries Make sure pods are fully stocked Maintain established expectancy goals Responsible for bailing used plastic from housekeeping at the bailer.

Significant Work Site Measurements

Cartons of Sundries are up to 32# Pallet of sundries from 4” to 72” high Storage shelves in pods are 8” and 45”high

30’ from delivery isle to storage shelves 13” step up to driving platform on forklift Forklift controls are 41” above platform

Hours Worked/Work Environment

The plant is clean with a comfortable temperature and moderate noise level. There are two shifts this job is performed on. The first shift is eight hours, five days per week. The second shift is is eight hours, five days per week.

Standing: (Continuous) This job is performed in a standing position for up to 2 ½ hours per interval.

Walking: (Continuous) Walking up to 30’ to deliver sundries from delivery isles to storage shelves in pods.

Lifting: (Frequent) Lifting up to 32# to move sundries into and out of storage areas and deliver to pods

Carrying: (Frequent) Carry up to 32# of sundries 30’ to place on storage shelves in pods.

Reaching: (Frequent) Reaching up to 72” to retrieve a carton of sundries and to place cartons in storage shelves in pods.

Forward-Bending Standing: (Frequent) Forward bend to remove carton from pallet and to place carton on shelves in pod.

Gripping: (Frequent) Full hand grip up to 45# to carry cartons and other sundries.

Vision: (Continuous) Must have good vision to operate forklift, select appropriate sundries and read computer.

Hearing: (Frequent) Must be able to communicate with other workers via telephone, radio, etc., to identify what sundries need to be delivered.
