- Perform a key role in our People Logistics function by driving exceptional stakeholder engagement and operational interface to our internal and external partners
- Perth-based role, Monday to Friday with the opportunity to work remotely paired with ad-hoc site travel to the Pilbara
- Ensuring compliance to the C7 Aviation safety standards
- Nominated Responsible Manager Aviation for Iron Ore
- Provide positive leadership and guidance to a team of Specialists
- Lead and have oversight to government and regulatory bodies
- Performance manage service partner contract - Aerodrome services
- Provide subject matter expertise in Aerodrome compliance and regulations
- Work closely with the aviation airlines, and authorities to maintain compliance
- Review and approve all aviation activities within Facilities
- A passion for your people development and genuine care for their physical and psychological safety and wellbeing

- The ability to engage, inspire and drive innovation whilst navigating change
- Confident in effectively leading, mentoring, and coaching team members as well as interfacing with senior leaders, with a desire to build and lead engaged teams

- Strong stakeholder engagement skills with the ability to interact with individuals both internal and external to the business at all levels
- Leadership experience and be confident in effectively leading, mentoring and coaching team members
- Demonstrated complex problem-solving abilities and to deliver solutions across an operation
- Experience with and a solid understanding of aerodrome operations, compliance, and regulations
- Strong understanding of Civil Aviation Safety Authority (CASA) standards
- A current WA Driver’s license

About the role
We are seeking an engaging, safety-focused Superintendent Aviation to lead a team of professionals accountable for managing compliance and governance of aerodrome and remote drone operations.
This role presents a fantastic opportunity to draw on your people leadership skills, harnessed with your technical knowledge to positively develop and support your team, whilst driving safety excellence and positive team culture.
Accountable for the governance of our contract provider’s performance across aerodromes, your demonstrated ability to engage, connect and positively influence key stakeholders at all organizational levels will play a critical part to the effectiveness in this role.

Where you’ll be working
You and your team will be Perth-based with opportunity to work flexibly from home combined with time in our Central Park offices. There will be the opportunity for some Pilbara site visits from time to time, however this will be done on an ad-hoc basis.
