You’ll supervise a team of Radiographers undertaking modality specific imaging procedures
Undertake MRI scans in line with existing modality specific clinical guidelines and protocols
Be responsible for maintain high clinical standards in patient care, clinical risk and Health and Safety including ensuring compliance to CQC, MRSA and IRMER guidelines
Maintain competence in general x-ray as required
Conduct competency assessments at regular intervals, ensuring any development needs are identified and followed up
Be actively involved in the recruitment, appointment and induction of new clinical staff
Arrange rotas for clinical staff where required
Ensure good communication is maintained with the team to deliver a smooth-running service
Deal with day to day staff queries, liaising with appropriate support functions where required to resolve the queries within a reasonable timeframe
Take ownership of governance activities i.e. audits, personal development, and team meetings with the support of your colleagues
Assist with the booking of some appointments and work closely with the Radiologists
Work alongside the Cromwell hospital for support and alliance where required
DCR(R) or BSc in Radiography (essential)
HCPC Registered ( essential)
Extensive experience in MRI ( essential)
Extensive experience in X-Ray (essential)

Job Title: Superintendent MRI Radiographer
Department: Radiology
Location: The Basinghall Clinic, Basinghall Street, London EC2 5BQ
Permanent / Contract: Permanent
Salary range: £48,000 to £52,000 per annum (dependent on experience and qualifications)

Full time/part time: Full-Time, 40 hours per week, Monday - Friday

As a Superintendent Radiographer you will be responsible for providing first point of clinical leadership in MRI, operating in accordance with the Bupa guidelines and company policies to deliver a service that is aligned to contractual and governance requirements. You’ll report to and work closely with the centre manager to ensure a smooth operational delivery and working alongside staff at the Cromwell hospital where possible to ensure a resilient MRI scanning service.
The Basinghall Clinic has a Siemens 1.5T supporting multiple specialities in a one stop pathway and with pre-booked patients. The superintendent will have direct line management to radiographers rotating through the department and will also be covering a Siemens X-ray room as required.
