      SUMMARY: Responsible for coordinating and supervising the maintenance of the general ledger and production of various resultant financial statements.

      GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES: Manage a group or section of general accountants. Participate in the most complex general accounting projects. Plans and conduct comprehensive studies to improve the operational and financial effectiveness of a department or business unit/segment. Performs statistical, cost and financial analysis of financial reports and data, and prepares summaries for management. Recommends cost improvement measures. Interprets data to determine past financial performance and/or to project financial probability. Develop financial reports to determine forecasts, trends and results. Assists in the development, enhancement and implementation of policies and procedures. Provides support to less experienced accounting personnel. Will assist with general ledger maintenance activities and account reconciliations. May assist with data management and reporting maintenance from various systems using Power BI. Tasks will include, but not limited to, managing the administration of benefit payments, audits, and reconciliations

      EDUCATION: Bachelor's degree in business, accounting or related field; or a combination of post high school and equal experience may be substituted for education.

      EXPERIENCE: 3 - 5 years in the full accounting cycle supervisory experience.

      TECHNICAL PROFICIENCY: Proficient with Microsoft Office products, including Excel, Outlook, Word and PowerPoint; in addition to proficiency in accounting systems.

      COMPETENCIES: Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing. Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships. Ability to prioritize, organize and perform multiple work assignments simultaneously. Ability to perform accurately in a detail-oriented environment. Ability to compile, review, and reconcile data for accuracy, completeness, and compliance. Knowledge of basic accounting principles such as payables, receivables and accruals. Knowledge of electronic data processing as it applies to finance and accounting.

      OTHER: Deltek (Cost Accounting) experience a plus.

      JOB SCOPE: Position impacts multiple business units/segments.

      WORKING CONDITIONS: Normal office environment with little exposure to excessive noise, dust, temperature and the like. Extended use of a computer keyboard, viewing of a computer monitor and the ability to sit for long periods of time.
