What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Managing and evaluating direct reports of UM Inpatient review Nurses, Inpatient Care Managers, Clinical Coordinators, and other team associates
- Ensuring compliance for UM to meet established performance metrics
- Overseeing inventory and ensuring cases are completed within regulatory timeframes
- Conducting routine audits on UM clinical reviews and NCQA regulations/guidelines
- Developing, implementing, reviewing, and revising all policies, procedures, workflows, job aids, and other key documents related to UM
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Undergraduate degree or equivalent experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Nursing, healthcare administration, business administration, or related field and/or associate degree in Nursing combined with 2+ years of experience above the required years of experience
- Current unrestricted RN Licensure to practice in the applicable state
- 3+ years of related experience in UM process activities such as prior authorization, inpatient review, discharge planning, and/or post-acute care management
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Certification in Case Management
- 2+ years of experience practicing as a nurse in any care setting
- Authorization and Inpatient Care Management experience
- Experience on the Integrated Care Team
- Experience performing discharge planning
