Job Description

- Supervise and provide leadership to the collections team.
- Monitor and guide collection agents to ensure adherence to company policies and legal requirements.
- Develop and implement strategies to improve team efficiency and effectiveness.
- Perform regular performance evaluations and provide feedback and training to staff.
- Handle complex or escalated customer interactions with poise and professionalism.
- Ensure accurate documentation of important collection activities.
- Collaborate with other departments to develop solutions to customer payment problems and improve collection rates.
- Prepare and analyze team performance reports, making data-driven decisions for improvement.
- A minimum of 3 years in a leadership role, preferably in collections or customer service.
- Proven experience in a supervisory role within collections or a call center environment, managing a minimum of 6 subordinates.
- Excellent leadership and team management skills.
- Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in software, CRM systems, and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Degree in finance, business administration, or a related field.
- Understanding of the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act
- Certifications or additional training in collections, customer service, or leadership.
- Familiarity with regulatory compliance standards within the financial services industry.
- Bilingual skills, particularly in Spanish or another language relevant to the client base.
- Proven ability to implement process improvements and training programs.
