      JOB SUMMARY

      The Supervisor, Energy and Decarbonization Programs is responsible for leading a team in delivering Hydro Ottawa’s various energy and decarbonization programs. This includes overseeing Energy and Decarbonizaton Engineers as they support our customers, and ensuring that program metrics, budgeting, and deliverables are fully tracked and reported on, in accordance with program requirements. The Supervisor, Energy and Decarbonization Programs is also responsible for developing and leveraging strategic partnerships with program partners and other key stakeholders, learning best practices and coordinating delivery efforts in a way that benefits Hydro Ottawa and its customers.

      MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES

      • Develop and lead the relationships with relevant partners and stakeholders to ensure consistent delivery and alignment of the program deliverables as needed.

      • In accordance with program rules, develop and implement business processes and tools to deliver program deliverables and to provide funding to eligible recipients.

      • Develop and implement business processes and tools to effectively track and manage program metrics, budget, and deliverables, and ensure all reporting requirements are fully met in accordance with program rules.

      • Develop and implement strategies for engaging eligible customers for the purposes of facilitating and supporting the implementation of energy efficiency measures, efficient electrification, deep retrofits, and other innovative approaches for the purposes of carbon reduction, energy efficiency, and implementing innovative energy generation and management strategies.

      • Manage, coach, support, develop, and set priorities for Energy and Decarbonization Engineers and align their activities with the relevant program and business priorities.

      • Develop and implement business processes and tools to capture learning, key insights, and strategic information related to commercial customers’ energy management, electrification, and decarbonization plans, for the purposes of informing future Hydro Ottawa program development, and to inform Hydro Ottawa grid planning.

      • Identify and engage opportunities for public promotion and education related to Hydro Ottawa’s energy program implementation and, more broadly, Hydro Ottawa’s support for customers’ decarbonization efforts.

      • Participate in the development and implementation of marketing and communications strategies and materials as required for program implementation.

      • Perform effective online and in-person business presentations and webinars to commercial customers, industry stakeholders, etc. related to the implementation of relevant programs.

      • Collaborates with internal and external stakeholders, to inform and understand customer goals and needs related to decarbonization and energy efficiency, new technologies, and utility requirements.

      EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

      • Post-Secondary education from an accredited institution in a relevant field such as Engineering, Sustainability, Energy Management, Building Science

      • Minimum 5 years relevant work experience such as program management, broad stakeholder engagement, and carbon reduction initiatives in buildings

      • Climate policy experience

      • Energy and decarbonization programs experience considered an asset

      • Strong computer skills; proficient in the use of office productivity and collaboration tools, preferably G Suite

      • Experience analyzing and managing programs, KPIs and budgets

      • Process mapping experience

      • Supervisory experience

      • English essential, both oral and written; Bilingual (English/French) considered an asset

      ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS

      • Valid Driver’s license - Class G

      This is a management group opportunity and salary will be commensurate with qualifications.

      Hydro Ottawa offers a Hybrid Work Model. Hybrid work is position specific, the details of which the hybrid model will be discussed with successful candidates.

      $84,176.78

      Pay Range Maximum:

      $126,264.53
