Job Description

- Manages the mailroom activities and personnel. Maintains coverage of all areas of responsibility. Assigns work activities. Ensures all job assignments/tasks are completed in a timely manner. Ensures all policies and procedures are followed. Provides assistance for policy revisions. Ensures appropriate documents are completed for mail required with documentation forms. Ensures daily close out procedures are current and followed. Assigns and updates mail stop information as appropriate.
- Provides daily supervision for distribution. Monitors performance and conduct annual performance evaluations. Ensures adequate funds are available to support daily operations. Deposits transactions into the appropriate Mail Center account. Ensures that all personal mail is handled appropriately.
- Ensures mailing supplies are available for customers by analyzing needs. Orders supplies needed to provide service. Ensures adequate stocks of supplies are available.
- Maintains a highly customer focused operations. Ensures that customer needs are met. Arranges and conducts meetings as necessary to provide support to customer base. Analyzes options relative to process and technology changes and recommends implementation within St Jude.
- Maintains mail service equipment. Ensures staff is properly trained to operate mailing equipment. Ensures updates for price changes are downloaded to appropriate equipment to accurately reflect rate changes. Maintains knowledge of current USPS, FedEx, etc. shipment guidelines, laws, and regulations to keep St. Jude compliant. Creates reports and provide data for monitoring performance.
- Trains, counsels, disciplines and evaluates employee performance. Interviews candidates and makes hiring recommendations. Trains new personnel in accordance with department policies and procedures. Schedules and conducts in-service training for assigned staff. Displays and teaches teamwork and professionalism. Maintains staffing coverage of all areas of responsibility. Ensures all job assignments/tasks are completed in a timely manner. Ensures all policies and procedures are followed.
- Performs other related duties as assigned or directed to meet the goals and objectives of the department and the organization.
- Maintains regular and predictable attendance.
- High school Diploma or GED required.
- Five (5) years of experience working in a USPS, corporate mailroom, or distribution/logistics environment required
- Supervisory experience preferred

Compensation
In recognition of certain U.S. state and municipal pay transparency laws, St. Jude is including a reasonable estimate of the compensation range for this role. This is an estimate offered in good faith and a specific salary offer takes into account factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets, experience and training, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs. It is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the salary range and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case.
