- With communications and approval, accept and communicate with customer regarding any issues involving delivery, pricing, specifications of Finish Goods.
- Scheduling of trucks for shipment including those for both external and internal customers, generate shipping documents, and maintain record.
- Ensure compliance with logistics/transportation practices and procedures to deliveries.
- Work with Transportation companies to coordinate, plan and prioritize logistics/transportation activities.
- Corporate Responsibility and Governance
- Oversees all Shipping methods as dedicated FTL trailer, parcel service, TLT Service, Airfreight and Ocean freight.
- Ensure compliance with Mexican Customs regulation, responds to any deviations of the process and communicates exceptions and resolution suggestions to Materials Manager.
- Work closely with other internal staff, departments, outside vendors, and/or functional peer groups at various management levels. Interaction normally requires the ability to gain cooperation of others, conducting presentations of technical information concerning specific products and materials for customs purposes.
- Review electronic files to ensure the Import and Export operations are properly in compliance.
- Oversees brokerage activities such as classification, entry of goods, filing entries with U.S. Customs, bond cancellations, customs inspections, release of shipments internal and foreign customs regulation.
- Strong knowledge and understanding of Customs regulations for applying correct classification to imported products and importation taxes calculation.
- Work closely with Shelter figure to seek mutual benefiting process and workflows
- Monitor and control files within Shelter, processing tools to maintain process flows
- Root cause analysis and implement corrective actions when needed.
- Develop procedures and perform training for employees.
- Drive continuous improvement throughout the materials function. Including identifying opportunities and empowering the teams to execute.
- Performs annual reviews and regularly provides feedback on work crew’s job performance.
- Perform other duties assigned by ICON management.
- Help maintain a positive work environment by being present and fostering two-way communication.
- European and / or APAC logistics, trade compliance and shipping requirements basic knowledge is a plus.
- Strong sense of urgency, detail oriented and ability to drive results.
- Prioritize, handle multiple tasks and work in a fast paced and high-volume environment.
- Demonstrated experience using materials planning systems (MRP/ERP)
- Avoid any penalties in any Trade Compliance matter.
- BA/BS in Engineering, Supply Chain, Business, International Trade or related field of discipline or equivalent experience required.
- 7+ years of directly applicable experience in the management, International Logistics, Trade and Customs Compliance, Import-Export and IMMEX expertise.
- Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills in English Spanish (Bilingual).
- ISM or APICS certification, i.e., C.L.T., C.P.M., CPIM, CPSM, CSCP. Is a plus.
- Supply Chain Management experience is a plus.
- Expert knowledge of BOM and router concepts in a ATO, MTS, MTO Manufacturing Environments.
- Experience in known quality standards such as ISO 9000 is desirable.
- Computer skills/experience including ERP applications, word processing, spreadsheet, and database software
- Demonstrated leadership experience, including managing, and developing client relationships.
- Ability to work independently with strong decision-making skills while under limited supervision.
- Demonstrated capacity to overcome multiple projects with challenging deadlines.
- Significant computer experience including MS Office products and ERP / MRP systems, preferably PLEX.
- Proven track record of being an effective agent of change in a fast paced, low volume – high mix manufacturing facility.
- Demonstrates concern for precision and thoroughness.

Mission of Role:
Oversee all transportation requirements within ICON Mexico. As an integral component to ICON’s production, this position will follow the overall supply chain strategy, Importations, Exportations, Legal Compliance, International Logistics as Sea freight, airfreight, ground freight and multimodal freight. This position will be responsible for maintaining customs compliance in México and Foreign to ensure the legal integrity of the company, as well as provide support to other areas of the supply chain as needed.
