- Supervise and lead a team of technicians to successfully execute on the departmental goal of 99.999% reliability. Supervisory responsibilities include hiring, training, coaching and performance management of a team of direct reports. Perform day to day operational coordination such as scheduling and ensuring proper troubleshooting and escalation of operational issues.
- Lead and serve as a project manager for department initiatives such as new workflow or technology development and implementation.
- Responsible for ensuring the creation, implementation, and maintenance of SOPs.
- With support of the MOC Specialists, ensures that all technicians receive proper training. Maintains training matrix and assigns training sessions.
- Operational lead on outage bridges as required.
- Takes points on following up if there are team defects. Identifies patterns and conducts root cause analysis recommending mitigation process/technology solutions to prevent further instances of similar defects.
- Identify areas in new or legacy workflows where improvements can be implemented to gain productivity.
- Capable of filling in for the MOC Manager should they be out of the office.
- All other duties as assigned.
- A track record of meeting or exceeding performance expectations
- Must be willing to work in Englewood Cliffs, New Jersey
- Must be willing and able to work evenings and nights, even on the weekend or holidays, sometimes on short notice, in support of the 24/7, 365 operation
- Must be willing and able to adhere to onsite strategy driven by company expectations

- Must be 18 years or older
- BA/BS in relevant field or equivalent relevant professional experience
- A punctual, hardworking, disciplined, and dependable individual
- Knowledge and understanding of various digital formats, codecs, and industry standard tools
- Knowledge and understanding of digital broadcast and production technical systems, standards and processes
- Detail oriented, respectful, and motivated team player with good communication skills and a positive attitude
- Ability to multi-task and balance numerous priorities in a deadline-oriented environment
- Ability to learn new technologies
- Proven ability to solve problems under pressure
- Experience working with both PC and MAC computer systems
- Experience as a people leader
- Bilingual - English and Spanish a plus

Job Description
NBCUniversal, in Englewood Cliffs, NJ, is home to a Media Operations Center team that is a group of innovative and highly skilled technicians that oversee the inbound and outbound digital delivery of NBC Universal content. The Media Operations Center team is responsible for ensuring content is sourced, prepared, and fulfilled to outlets such as cable networks, online destinations, Peacock, and more. In this role you will be part of a 24x7 driven and highly motivated team that supports the fulfillment of media content to NBCUniversal’s distribution outlets.
As Supervisor, Media Operations, you will be joining the MOC leadership team that encompasses all aspects of the digital supply chain: source content QC, encode, edit, and delivery to clients. This is a people leading role that comes with direct reports, has a strong focus on providing feedback to direct reports, creating SOPs, creating training strategies and ensuring the MOC team is operating at 99.999% reliability.
This posting is specifically geared towards the evening/night shift, which means some workdays may not end until after midnight and direct reports will be comprised of operators working evening and overnight shifts.
