      Position Title: Supervisor Network Construction (M1)

      Role

      Responsible for the day-to-day activities of an assigned team of fiber construction managers. This team has a dedicated focus on building and delivering services that are consistent with all defined standard operating processes and procedures. The position will support the District Manager of Fiber Construction and work across other fiber construction teams within the area, as well as provide support to Crown Castle cross-functional teams to improve the quality of processes, deliverables and the end-to-end customer experience. Each fiber construction team is expected to maintain open communication across all areas of the business and work as a unit with consistency while building, implementing, and restoring or maintaining services; cognizant of fostering the vision and values of Crown Castle. This position is accountable for their assigned team and area for delivering KPIs including but not limited to Budget spend, MTTR, % On-Time Install, fiber complete for small cell, and installed enterprise revenue.

      Essential Job Functions

      Supervise a team of Network Construction Managers with a focus on:

      Safety:

      • Complete Required Safety Observations
      • Ensure SUE score included on all civil drawings
      • 100% Completion of all assigned safety training classes
      • Adherence to general office safety guidelines
      • As applicable drive contractor safety
      • Adherence to all Motor Vehicle Guidelines
      • Immediate reporting of safety incidents

      Construction Activities:

      • Drive revenue realization by completing tasks by the assignment dates
      • Continually monitor and update assignment adjusted end dates (communication to PM)
      • Proper and timely submission of required documentation to Permitting and Utilities to facilitate authorizations
      • Track licenses, permits and escalate appropriately to positively influence project timelines
      • Manage 3rd party contractors to guarantee adherence to Crown Castle construction Standards
      • Familiarizing/understand local jurisdictional requirements and utility standards and deliver to required quality standard

      Budget and Financial Management:

      • Understand the project budget, utilize the most economical method of construction
      • Deploy RAPID CONNECT method of trenching where appropriate
      • Identify opportunities to deploy passive filters
      • 100% Compliance to the Bid Policy
      • No work without a Purchase Order
      • Utilization of fixed pricing, PSP’s, IMN’s, and MWBE’s as relevant
      • Awareness and Understanding of customer facing Terms & Conditions

      Education/Certifications
      • High school diploma or equivalent required
      • B.S in Architecture, Engineering, or Construction related field or equivalent work experience preferred.
      • A valid driver’s license required.

      Experience/Minimum Requirements
      • Three (3)+ years construction experience, at least three (3) years direct telecommunications experience or equivalent work experience required. At least two (2) years of supervisory contractor construction experience required, three (3)+ years preferred.
      • 1+ year of experience performing (or equivalent work experience):
        • Direct supervision/management of employees
        • Fiber engineering design, Small Cell, splicing and/or construction implementation experience.
      • Experience with Project Management and Delivery process.
      • Working knowledge of Network Construction and Small Cell standards (aerial and underground).
      • Working knowledge of GO95 and OSHA standards
      Other Skills/Abilities
      • Excellent leadership, interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
      • Proven people and project management skills
      • Candidate has a strong background in and a good working knowledge of fiber optic infrastructure engineering, construction, and restoration methods.
      • Familiarity with Outside Plant (OSP) and Inside Plant (ISP) and substructure installation standards and practices
      • Ability to diagnose workflow problems and institute remedies.
      • The individual must possess and employ the highest ethical and business standards and always conduct himself/herself with the greatest degree of professional integrity.
      • Position needs to be able to operate in a fast-paced customer focused environment handling multiple priorities at a time, delivering quality service to diverse user groups and customers.
      • Position must be available for emergency support on a 24-hour X 7-day basis.

      Organizational Relationship

      R e ports to: District Manager Network Construction-Operations

      Title(s) of direct reports (if applicable): Sr. Network Construction Manager, Network Construction Manager

      W orking Conditions: This role falls into our hybrid work model working in the office on Monday through Thursday. On Fridays, teammates on the hybrid schedule will have the option to work from the office or home. There is an expectation of collaboration with teammates and stakeholders for moments that matter that could require travel.

      Could be required to travel to project sites with exposure to heavy equipment and environmental conditions up to 50% of the time. Works in a normal office setting with no exposure to adverse environmental conditions the remaining 50% of the time.

      Compensation Information: For New York, Colorado, California and Washington residents the hiring range offered for this position is $99,102 - $137,310 annually. In addition to salary, employees are eligible for an annual bonus of up to 15% of annual salary and RSU eligible. Employees (and their families) are eligible for medical, dental, vision, and basic life insurance. Employees are able to enroll in our company’s 401k plan. Employees will also receive 18 days of paid time off each year and 12 paid holidays throughout the calendar year.
