What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Facilitate Operational Risk Management through risk assessments and risk identification exercises
- Evaluate a wide range of risks affecting financial, safety, operational reliability, environmental, and reputational factors
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to develop and implement risk management policies and procedures
- Conduct quarterly governance reviews and communicate findings to leadership
- Mentor and motivate team members while overseeing their work to meet deadlines
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering and a minimum of 6 years of technical experience
- Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills
- Proficiency with MS Office Suite, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Visio
- Working knowledge of Process Hazard Analysis techniques, particularly HAZOP, FMEA, and What-If studies
- Strong organizational, time management, and planning skills
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Advanced degree (Master’s or PhD) in Engineering or Master of Business Administration (MBA)
- Two or more years of experience in Risk Management for Oil & Gas assets
- Familiarity with risk analysis tools such as PHAST/SAFETI, BowTie XP, and others
- Experience with programming languages like VBA in Excel, Octave, Matlab, Python, or R
- Knowledge of relevant codes and standards, including CFR Part 192 and Part 1910.119 (OSHA)
