      What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
      - Supervise a team of Underwriters conducting risk assessment for various insurance products
      - Establish and enforce underwriting standards and guidelines to ensure accurate verification of applicant information
      - Assist staff with resolving underwriting problems and monitor performance
      - Assess risk and produce rates for new groups, preparing formal proposals and renewals
      - Provide training and mentoring to underwriting and sales staff, and lead special projects as needed

      What is Required (Qualifications):
      - Bachelor's Degree or equivalent related experience
      - 3-5 years of underwriting experience
      - Advanced knowledge of group supplemental, life, disability, medical, and worksite products
      - Strong math and analytical skills, with advanced MS Office proficiency
      - Excellent written and verbal communication skills

      How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
      - Previous leadership or management experience, preferably in underwriting
      - Relevant certifications such as LOMA, HIAA, or AHIP
