      This is a Direct Hire Authority (DHA) solicitation utilizing the DHA for Certain Personnel of the DoD Workforce to recruit and appoint qualified candidates to positions in the competitive service.This position is located at the Directorate of Public Works (DPW), Joint Base Myer Henderson Hall.

      About the Position: Serve as the Chief Buildings and Grounds Branch, JBM-HH DPW Operations and Maintenance Division.

      Duties


      • Serve as the Chief Buildings and Grounds Branch, JBM-HH DPW Operations and Maintenance Division.
      • Shares in the planning, direction, and management of all phases of the DPW Maintenance Division, as the Division's Operations Officer responsible for leading and coordinating the daily activities and operations of the organization.
      • Serve as advisor, consultant to, and representative of the Chief, DPW Operations and Maintenance Division, on internal IFMM matters.
      • Directs the daily operation of the IFMM Program, ensuring through direction of a subordinate staff, that maintenance management for JBM-HH infrastructure, facilities, and related equipment meets serviceability and readiness standards.
      • Principal operation and maintenance manager responsible for all work requests, service orders, preventive maintenance, and repairs for buildings Joint Base Myer-Henderson Hall (JBM-HH).
      • Inventory may change with on-going changes at JBM-HH.
      • The current building inventory accounts for installation 378.6 ac, buildings 260 and roads 14.04 miles.

      Requirements


      • Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
      • This position has a Temporary Duty (TDY) or business travel requirement of 10% of the time.
      • The duties of this position require the incumbent to possess or obtain and maintain a valid state Driver's License.
      • This position has been designated "Mission Essential". In the event of severe weather conditions or other such emergency type situations the incumbent is required to report to work or remain at work as scheduled to support mission operations.
      • This position requires the incumbent be able to obtain and maintain a determination of eligibility for a Secret security clearance or access for the duration of employment.
      • Financial Disclosure Statement OGE Form 450 is used to assist agencies and employees to avoid conflicts between duties and financial interest. This position requires pre-employment financial disclosure and annually thereafter.

      SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: I have one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-11 grade level in the Federal service which includes: 1) managing the maintenance and repair of facility requirements and activities; 2) formulating recommendations regarding facilities maintenance, readiness, and planning; 3) conducting briefings to schedule shop operations and work flow; 4) allocating resources for the maintenance mission; 5) monitoring production, quality, and customer service; 6) providing developmental training needed or required.

      Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. For this job, you must meet the qualification requirement using experience alone -- no substitution of education for experience is permitted.
