      This position is located at Defense Finance and Accounting Service, Texarkana.

      Duties


      • Compares various vouchers for accuracy, legality and regularity in terms of contract provisions and applicable laws, regulation and policies.
      • Computes authorized allowances, validates the execution of voucher forms, schedules vouchers for payment, maintains records of payment, performs record keeping, audits completed vouchers for errors, irregularities, and omissions.
      • Plans and assigns work to be accomplished by subordinates, sets and adjusts short-term priorities based on workflow or job specialization, and prepares schedules for completion of work.
      • Maintains records of work accomplishment, time expended and prepares production reports as requested.
      • Develops performance standards and conducts performance evaluations. Evaluates work performance of subordinates, provides advice or instruction to employees on both work and administrative matters.

      Requirements


      • Direct Deposit and Social Security Card is required.
      • Meet qualification/eligibility/background requirements for this position.
      • A one year probationary period may be required.
      • Satisfactorily complete an employment verification (E-Verify) check.
      • PER AR 380-67, NON-US CITIZENS WILL NOT HAVE THE ABILITY TO OBTAIN THE REQUIRED T3 (SECRET) INVESTIGATION, THEREFORE, WILL BE UNABLE TO QUALIFY UNDER CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT.
      • Subject to satisfactory completion of all pre-employment checks in accordance with AR 215-3, para.2 to include a Tier 1 or higher level background investigation based on system access, or access requirements.

      Qualifications


      Qualifications:
      • Progressively responsible work experience in an accounting function performing the duties of the position.
      • Work experience must be at or equivalent to the next lower grade level.
      • Ability to use calculator and personal computer.
      • Ability to communicate orally and in writing with serviced activities and vendors.
      Highly Preferred Criteria: (Please Note: Qualified applicants who also meet the Highly Preferred Criteria will be referred to management first.)
      • Must be proficient with Microsoft Office products and have work experience with data analysis.

      Experience MUST be reflected on resume to receive credit.
