      The Raytheon Program Supplier Quality organization ensures that known good parts and services are received from the supply chain. We work collaboratively with our internal functional counterpart to ensure requirements flow down and Technical Data Packages will result in product that performs in the system or services that meet performance requirements. We conduct supplier oversight through requirements reviews, in-process and final inspection at supplier’s facilities, and drive incoming inspection to ensure compliance. We perform robust containment, root cause, corrective action and validation of supplier caused.

      This Program Supplier Quality Engineering (PSQE) position will provide Supplier Material Quality support to assigned programs within the Advanced Products and Solutions (AP&S) organization at the McKinney TX site.

      The work role is Hybrid, requiring physical presence in the site and within commuting distance to the McKinney, TX facility while allowing remote work. The PSQE will perform supplier facing quality engineering, in support of assigned Programs collaborating with Program Quality, Operations Quality, Supply Chain, Operations and Engineering activities to analyze, control, and improve product quality.

      What you will do:

      • Interface across a matrix environment to determine requirements, develop plan for fulfilling the specific procured material requirements, while meeting the overall programmatic requirement
      • Lead and support supplier assessment process planning and execution, such as supplier capability assessments, pre and post-award reviews, process assessments, PFMEA, & APQP.
      • Participate on cross-functional supplier selection teams, advocating best value, technical solutions and suppliers which can best meet the overall quality requirements
      • Identify and document supplier risk; develop mitigation plans to reduce, eliminate and prevent supplied product defects
      • Lead containment activities associated with discrepant material, with assistance from functional stakeholders
      • Initiate supplier corrective action process, review, approval and monitoring; assure containment, closed loop Root Cause Corrective Action is obtained; communicate issue and resolution to functional stakeholders
      • Lead and participate in multi-functional teams in process improvement activities using Raytheon Technologies CORE tools.
      • Candidates in this position must be able to participate in the resolution of technical issues with respect to product processes, systems and deliverables in engineering, supply chain and quality and at the supplier
      • Perform defect data analysis and review with the program managers and supplier management, which will assist in developing Supplier improvement plans
      • Travel may be expected up to 25% of the time

      Qualifications you must have:

      • Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 5 years of prior relevant experience to include either quality engineering or manufacturing engineering
      • Previous experience with quality engineering, OR assembly/manufacturing processes OR integration and test operations and procedures
      • Experience working with quality systems with ISO 9001 or AS9100.
      • Experience working with statistical analysis processes and tools
      • Previous experience with Supplier Management practices and processes
      • Experience conducting RCCA containment and using analysis process and tools.
      • U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract

      Qualifications we prefer:

      • Experience with AS9145 APQP/PPAP
      • Strong risk assessment and mitigation foundation
      • Strong follow through and ability to develop practical solutions to a wide range of problems in quality systems, materials, electronics, optics, and mechanical product
      • Excellent verbal/written and presentation communications and interpersonal skills; ability to effectively persuade and influence through positive communications with stakeholders, team members, suppliers, management
      • Knowledge of SAP
      • Knowledge of GD&T
      • ASQ certified: CQE or CQA

      The salary range for this role is 77,000 USD - 163,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.

Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and are dependent upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, individual performance, business unit performance, and/or the company’s performance.

      This role is a U.S.-based role. If the successful candidate resides in a U.S. territory, the appropriate pay structure and benefits will apply.
