      Job Description

      You will be the Supplier Quality Engineer for our Quality Team. Our team is responsible for applying quality principles to ensure the highest standards are met in design, production, and research and development, driving excellence in product and process quality.



      What You Will Be Doing
      As the Supplier Quality Engineer, you will be responsible for performing technical evaluations, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and ensuring quality standards are in place. Your responsibilities will include:
      • Reviewing documentation to ensure quality products are delivered
      • Analyzing and resolving design, manufacturing, and process issues, from basic to complex
      • Supporting Integrated Product Teams with reviews of quality data and participating in Review Boards
      • Performing assessments and audits to ensure compliance with specifications, engineering drawings, and quality standards
      • Evaluating design assurance activities and production process methodology to prevent impacts to production, quality and reliability
      • Interfacing with customers, suppliers, and program personnel on quality-related issues
      • Utilizing lean initiatives to reduce waste and drive continuous improvement
      • Making final decisions on product acceptability and supporting Quality operations

      -Knowledge in Manufacturing Processes
      -Understanding of Quality Standards (ISO9001 and/or AS9100)
      -Communication skills - Cross functional teamwork, -Multifunctional relationship management, reporting and documentation.
      -Personal Effectiveness - Adaptability and continuous learning.
      -Experience performing First Article Inspections (FAIs) to ISO and AS standards.
      -Working knowledge with SAP, GD&T, FMEAs.
      -Lean / Six Sigma Green or Black Belt Certification
      -Demonstrated understanding of audit techniques
      -Professional experience and background in Quality Assurance or related technical discipline

      Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.

      National Pay Statement

      Pay Rate: The annual base salary range for this position in California and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, New Jersey, Vermont, Washington or Washington DC is $67,000 - $117,990. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate’s final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.
      Benefits offered: Medical, Dental, Vision, Life Insurance, Short-Term Disability, Long-Term Disability, 401(k) match, Flexible Spending Accounts, EAP, Education Assistance, Parental Leave, Paid time off, and Holidays.
      (Washington state applicants only) Non-represented full-time employees: accrue at least 10 hours per month of Paid Time Off (PTO) to be used for incidental absences and other reasons; receive at least 90 hours for holidays. Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays.
