      Job Purpose and Impact

      Location: Wolverhampton (WV9 5EU)

      The role is a permanent full time days position Monday-Friday based at the Wolverhampton site.

      Cargill’s European protein business is a leading supplier and innovator of further processed chicken products for retail, food service and food manufacturing customers. In this role you will supervise audits and inspect processes to assure compliance with current food safety and quality regulatory requirements. You will lead a small team of auditors that identify and evaluate the quality of raw materials, in process goods, procedures and operations as well as working closely with ingredient and packaging suppliers.

      Key Accountabilities

      • Lead a small team to seek, audit and approve suppliers related to ingredients and packaging
      • Lead the team to handle project progress and key stakeholder communications, conduct supplier performance reviews regularly and deliver audits or qualifications within established timelines
      • Evaluate vendors or suppliers for compliance with internal standards and external regulations and suggest changes with the goal of continuously improving processes
      • Be responsible for quality control team management of strategic suppliers
      • Partner with internal stakeholders to conduct internal audit and reporting
      • Empower and manage a team, responsible for performance management for your direct reports

      Qualifications

      MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS


      • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant scientific or food science discipline and or demonstrated experience in the Food Manufacturing Industry in place of a degree
      • Quality Management/ Technical Management Experience in the Food Manufacturing Industry
      • Experience with SAP or a similar ERP system
      • HACCP and Food Safety Level 3 with knowledge of food safety industry practices and standards

      PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS


      • Experience with supplier relationship management / supplier auditing
      • People supervisory experience
