      JOB DESCRIPTION
      Client Title: Inbound Ocean Freight Coordinator
      PURPOSE OF THE JOB

      This role is part of the Roofing Business and is accountable for performing daily inbound ocean freight container tracking. The Inbound Ocean Freight Coordinator will monitor reports for container arrivals, containers stuck at the port, dwell times, specific customer tracking in addition to other activities. The Inbound Coordinator will collaborate with the Ocean Freight Team, Warehouse Leaders, Customer Service, Material Planners and other OC organizations as necessary to identify and troubleshoot issues to ultimately reduce costs, deliver our product on-time and damage free. This role will require the Inbound Ocean Freight Coordinator to embrace and actively display the Client values and purpose.


      JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

      v Monitor and Manage all Ocean Freight within 15 days of port
      o Report list of containers X days out from port to our Dray Carrier partners
      o Monitor daily inbounds vs our warehouse capacity and alerting SCM/Warehouse team if inbounds will exceed capacity
      o Create Daily “at port” health report manually
      § Expeditors and Palantir dashboard to monitor next 15 days due in and that they are paid up.
      § Report and work with Ocean Freight team to get any balance due or stuck containers at port freed and picked up.
      § Monitor and manage containers that are picked up but not returned empty vs. our free days. What containers need to be turned ASAP to avoid charges.
      v Monitor and Manage all Ocean Freight Daily Reports
      o Root Cause any High and Extreme PO’s from the Dwell Risk Report
      o Work with Expeditors to apply cost to all containers at 2-4 weeks and under
      o Work with the warehouse leaders and Ocean Freight Team to get PO’s costed/fixed for ghost GR before the container lands
      o Root cause and work with appropriate parties to fix PO’s populating on the 902 Not S Repeat Offenders list
      o Manage and Create Weekly warehouse pallet inventory report
      v Monitor and Manage Menards Container Direct Loads
      o Compare all open PO’s and their current due in date vs planned delivery date
      § Report out on any that are +/- X days from original due in date
      o Monitor and manage any freight “stuck” at port and make sure they are moving.
      o Monitor and manage any freight during the dray leg until Menards delivery
      o Monitor and manage any containers at Menards for over 2 days
      v Continuous Improvement to our Reporting Capabilities
      o Creating processes to better monitor and manage freight
      o Creating and recommending new reporting to fill in visibility gaps
      o Working to sync and improve our internal reporting to and/or with Palantir Dashboard
      o Work with Expeditors to improve their dashboard accuracy
      MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

      * Bachelor’s degree preferred

      EXPERIENCE:

      * Supply Chain knowledge and experience preferred
      * Ocean Freight knowledge and experience preferred

      * Exposure to large integrated software systems (TM, ERP, CRM, SAP,) Preferred
