- Work collaboratively with internal departments with purchase requisitions to initiate the purchasing process and order materials including but not limited to laboratory supplies, manufacturing supplies, QC, RD and facility supplies.
- Manage Supply rooms, Uniform, Lab coat program and ensure to achieve highest customer services with lowest possible cost for service/material, balanced against optimum quality and schedule needs. Maintain supply room inventory accuracy and documentation.
- Effectively searching & comparing pricing for materials & supplies & utilizing bidding and negotiation for contracts if needed.
- Initiate necessary action to address any issues with the supplier.
- Issue purchase orders for approved requisitions; update purchase orders to ERP system. Execute purchase order requests and keep good documentation.
- Initiate and Maintain vendor records and changes.
- Serve as backup for warehouse personnel & follow appropriate SOPs.
- Reconcile receipts with packing slips before forwarding to Accounting for matching invoices.
- Research open purchase orders discrepancy with vendors.
- Coordinate and perform physical inventory counts when required.
- Initiate, update & maintain Material Specifications in master control as requested.
- Perform cleaning per Material Management SOPs
- Submit Change Controls, NCMR & quality events as requested and follow up on them as needed.
- Filing Material Management documentation in timely manner
- Any other ad-hoc projects
- BS degree in Material Management, Procurement, Business Administration, Operations planning or related discipline, or equivalent education and experience.
- 0-3 years experience of related procurement experience including purchasing, inventory control, contract negotiation, supply management, supplier relationships, basics of cost accounting in biotech manufacturing/industrial environment.
- Excellent knowledge of supply chain management.
- Self-motivated and able to function effectively independently and within a team.
- Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively.
- Strong Excel skills with good attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities with aggressive timelines at a high level of productivity.
- Good problem-solving skills.
