BASF Corporation is seeking a Supply Chain Manager at our Research Triangle Park, NC location (and various client sites nationwide) responsible for design, set-up, and maintenance of the AP global planning systems, including coaching planning system users in proper usage of existing systems, supporting the roll-out of new systems, and providing solutions and other necessary support. Play a critical role during the implementation and adoption of our new planning system – SAP IBP (Integrated Business Planning). Responsible for providing active guidance and support to the Supply Chain Managers, site Finite Planners, Global Sourcing, and Foreign Trade teams as they develop and execute the Active Ingredient supply plans within APT/OH. Drive all activities to ensure correct master data in SAP modules (R/3, DP, SNP, PP/DS) to enable accurate and efficient planning processes. Provide continuous improvement within our supply chain planning and execution processes. Design and implement the AP future planning system landscape (SAP IBP) through collaboration with the Global Supply Chain Excellence Team in Germany as well as the teams within all RBUs. Facilitate the successful transition from APO SNP to SAP IBP within the Global Herbicides Supply Chains. Carry out North American AP site implementations of Detailed Planning and Scheduling (DPnS) through the implementation of SAP APO PP/DS. Contribute to special projects to improve and enhance planning performance throughout the supply chain organization. Telecommuting permitted 2 days per week. Up to 10% domestic travel required to various client sites nationwide.
Job Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, IT Systems, related Engineering disciplines, or a related field of study (or foreign equivalent) and 7 years of related experience required. Two (2) years of experience must include: ECC - Enterprise Resource Planning System; APO/SNP (Supply Network Planning); APO/DP (Demand Planning); APO/PPDS (Production Process and Detailed Scheduling); SNP; Inventory planning; Performing gap analysis; Reviewing master data; Checking production versions, BOMs, master recipes, and requirements for configuration settings; and Problem Solving and System Troubleshooting. Telecommuting permitted 2 days per week. Up to 10% domestic travel required to various client sites nationwide.
