We are hiring a SUPPLY CHAIN OPERATIONS & LOGISTICS ANALYST with a strong background in OPERATIONS, SUPPLY PLANNING, FORECASTING and LOGISTICS PLANNING to join the Schneider Electric Solar and Storage team in RICHMOND BRITISH COLUMBIA, CANADA. What will you do? Using a variety of business intelligence (BI) tools, you will provide analysis, cost tracking and planning for the Supply Chain and Logistics group. Act as link between Sales, Factory Planners, Inventory Management and Supply Chain Coordinators to satisfy customer demand while balancing inventory and factory capacity needs, with special attention to transport and logistics. Employ a cross functional process using forecasts, BI tools, and commercial and external inputs to estimate demand as an input to Sales, Inventory and Operations Planning (SIOP). Work with internal category managers and external suppliers to identify and employ operating procedures and cost management for logistics and transportation services. Be a single point of contact for the management of all logistics functions including forecasting and coordination of ocean vessels, management of ground shipments, customs, and duties and tariffs. Track and manage all logistics costs while identifying and predicting cost and market trends. Create and maintain logistics cost models as a factor of overall product cost. Create dashboards, presentations, and recommendations that will be instrumental in decision-making for Management, factory build timing, and contract negotiations with logistics suppliers What qualifications will make you successful? Bachelor’s degree in business, supply chain or related field with 3-5 years of experience; background in operations analysis, manufacturing, logistics planning, freight forwarding, or ocean and ground transportation an asset. Proficient in operations and logistics planning with experience using Oracle and SAP based systems, as well as advanced Excel and intermediate PowerPoint skills to create easy to comprehend, predicative models, trend analysis, and informative presentations. You are comfortable to independently move without the full picture – we must be able to perform our jobs with some level of ambiguity. You won’t have all the information you need, but you must use your skills and experience, and build relationships, to make informed recommendations and decisions. Critical thinking skills to study, interpret, manipulate, and convert raw data into actionable business insights and provide well-supported recommendations. You are self-sufficient, resourceful, and a quick learner – You can quickly acquire an in-depth understanding of internal applications and processes, as well as create new and improved processes. You can manage several projects and multi-task under pressure while prioritizing the most urgent. Ability to think with a global mindset. You will be working with an international culturally diverse team across numerous time zones and will need to foster trusting relationships with colleagues You are determined in your push to maintain business continuity and get projects across the line.
