      Are you looking for a new and exciting opportunity in your next career? If so, we are looking for a Supply Chain Specialist to be based in our Gloucester office.

      The Opportunity

      In this role, you will provide Supply Chain support across EDF Energy Nuclear Operations for projects and markets following the companies ‘Acquire Goods and Services Process’. This will include upstream procurement activity, drafting procurement strategies, market category management and downstream Contract Management as required.

      Pay, Benefits and Culture

      We can offer a competitive salary from £40,069 - £60,826 with terms and conditions covered by the EDF Nuclear Operations Company Agreement. You’ll be appointed based on the parameters outlined in the Company Agreement as well as your existing salary, competence, experience and qualifications.

      What you’ll be doing

      As our next Supply Chain Specialist, your roles and responsibilities include:

      • To undertake procurement activity in accordance with the Company’s Acquire Goods and Services Process and the Company’s Supply Chain and Market Strategies.
      • Administering the upstream and downstream commercial aspects of a contract to the delegated level of authority (this includes supplier appraisal, tender preparation, tender assessment, negotiation, contract placement, variation and claim management and performance motioning).
      • Maintain appropriate level of external supplier contact to undertake responsibilities effectively and liaise with Supply Chain Management on matters of strategic importance.
      • Regular and pro-active liaison and support to internal customers.
      • Assisting the Senior Supply Chain Specialist in developing and delivering market strategies that will underpin category management and include commercial objectives, relationship management and material management.
      • Provide operationally focused responses to developments and issue.
      • Apply human performance tools to enhance operation safety performance.


      Who you are

      As a minimum, you will have a HNC or equivalent in a relevant subject and preferably hold or be working towards MCIPS.

      We’re looking for you to demonstrate previous experience of working within a supply chain environment within a relevant industry. Along with this, knowledge of relevant legislation governing supply chain activities is also required. Holding awareness of best practice, and evidence of influencing change and being a real team player is imperative for this role.
