      Worley Canada Construction is seeking a Supply Chain Summer Student to work with our team in the Edmonton office beginning in summer 2024. The duration of the assignment will be 4 months.

      Responsibilities:

      • Assist with bid package preparation, issue and expediting.
      • Provide quotation/bid evaluation support.
      • Support issuing Purchase Orders
      • Work closely with Project Managers, Construction Managers and Estimating personnel.
      • Work directly with Suppliers to expedite material orders; communicate delays and schedule conflicts with Project Team.
      • Managing kick off meetings, progress meetings and general administrative duties for the life cycle of the Subcontract Agreement.
      • Forecasting of costs based on current incurred and discussions with Project Management team.
      • Closeout PO’s and Subcontract Agreements once all contractual and procedural requirements have been met.
      • Manage deadlines and ensure appropriate communication is provided (to relevant parties) when schedule conflicts arise.
      • Administer and electronically distribute specified reports to Clients and/or project staff members.
      • Expected to work with all levels of the organization in a cohesive manner.
      • Computer entry of material receiving reports in Cord’s Material Management System (ERM)
      • Other duties as assigned.

      Qualifications:

      • Current student available for full time co-op placement (40 hrs per week) beginning in May 2024. The duration of the term will be for 4 months.
      • Working towards a Technical Diploma or Degree in Business/Supply Chain Management or a similar discipline.
      • Computer literate in all Microsoft Office products.
      • Excellent time management and organizational skills
      • Ability to work productively in a team environment as well as independently with minimal supervision.
      • Excellent communication skills in both verbal and written formats.
      • Ability to influence decisions and results without alienating people or being adversarial
      • Must have reliable means of transportation
