- Manages inventory levels on assigned medical/surgical floors and performs adequate replenishment; puts stock items away in cart and storeroom. Picks requisitions in accordance with computerized requisitions and departmental procedures.
- Rotates stock in storeroom, warehouse and Dept. supply areas by insuring material first received is first issued. Keeps inventory locations neat and maintains accurate levels.
- Pays strict attention to detail of all documents. Performs at a high degree of accuracy when issuing supplies or other medical items.
- Works closely under direction of Supply Chain Supervisor. Participates in spot checks, physical inventory and methods of measuring accuracy of records.
- Alerts Supervisor to potential low stock conditions on a timely basis. Reports discrepancies in description or packaging information.
- Validates department usage via par level sheets and cycle counting on a daily basis.
- Keeps storerooms and storage areas neat and orderly. Disposes of packing material and rubbish routinely.
- Places labels on appropriate items to ensure that patient accounts are accurately charged.
- Responds immediately on short notice to all emergency situations.
- Delivers hospital supplies and other related equipment to and from the hospital and other off-site locations as needed.
- Performs any related duties as needed.

Position Summary:
Maintains adequate inventory levels on the medical/surgical floors as assigned; utilizes the perpetual inventory system following procedure; puts stock away in cart and storeroom and assists with managing adequate inventory in department. Delivers supplies to all areas of the Medical Center as required.
Requirements:
High School Diploma or equivalent experience is required, must be able to read and write English, training and experience in distribution and supply of hospital or related products preferred, basic knowledge and experience in stock and issue practice is a plus.
