      Job Overview

      The Support Analyst coordinates the technical design of desktop/laptop set-up and upgrades, including designing configurations, installing and integrating of desktop services. This includes all hardware, software, services, applications, and network configuration affecting the desktop/laptop platforms.

      Some of your specific tasks will include:

      • Coordinating technical support activities for desktop/laptop computer platforms including hardware, software, applications, and communications, this includes providing guidance, and assisting in the ongoing training, as well as recommending support requirements and service levels for all desktop/laptop products and technologies

      • Tracking all calls, problems, and changes to make sure they are addressed in a timely manner according to the goals of the Help Desk area.

      • Providing technical guidance on desktop/laptop platforms and related issues and recommending desktop; laptop policies, procedures, and standards which impact the production environment

      • Developing and implementing processes for installations and upgrades of desktop/laptop platforms.

      • Testing, evaluating and recommending changes and upgrades to the desktop operating environment

      • Coordinating support documentation for internal use in regard to helpdesk and helpdesk utilities

      • Participating and providing detailed input to tactical and strategic planning processes including business cases

      Qualifications :

      • A technical diploma or university degree in computer science or management information systems or a related discipline is required .

      • A minimum of three ( 3 ) years practical experience working with hardware, software applications and networks or an equivalent combination of relevant experience and education is required .

      • Experience working in Azure Cloud environment

      • Experience working with Microsoft 365 platform

      • Excellent plain language communication skills: to technical staff, business users, and executives

      • Good judgment, tact and discretion required to exchange information regarding systems problems with users.

      Designations:

      Following designations are an asset:

      • CompTIA A+

      • MS Azure Fundamentals

      • MS 365 Fundamentals

      Salary Range:

      $57,150 (minimum) - $71,439 (midpoint) - $85,727 (maximum).

      The starting salary for this position will be determined considering the successful candidate’s relevant experience and education, salaries of other employees in the same salary range, market conditions and other relevant factors. Starting salaries are normally below the salary band midpoint.
