La Jolla Surf Camp is operated by Surf Diva Surf School. Surf Diva, Inc has been teaching surf lessons since 1996.

Role Description

This is a part-time, seasonal, on-site role for a Surf Camp Director located in La Jolla Shores, CA. The Surf Camp Director will oversee the daily operations of the surf camp, including coordinating activities, surf instruction, and ensuring the safety and wellbeing of all participants on the beach and in the ocean. Responsibilities also include communicating with parents, providing exceptional customer service, and fostering a positive and inclusive environment for campers and staff. The role involves mentoring youth, working with children, and supporting their development through various camp activities.

Qualifications

• Experience in operating and managing a camp
• Strong communication skills for interaction with parents, campers, and staff
• Expertise in youth development and working with children
• Exceptional customer service skills
• Leadership and organizational skills
• First Aid and CPR certification is a plus
• Experience in surfing or water sports is required
• Teaching credential or similar experience is a plus
