Sturdy Health is seeking a full time Surgical Assist Provider provider to join our community-based hospital in Attleboro, MA. We are a patient-focused organization and looking to grow our Surgery team with a provider who is dedicated to providing meaningful patient care.

Since 1913, Sturdy Memorial Hospital has been dedicated to providing its community with a full range of inpatient and outpatient services. What started as a 15-bed facility over 100 years ago has grown to be a 132-bed facility. We admit over 7,000 individuals each year.

About the job:

• Act as first assistant in surgery in the operating room or procedural areas for general surgery and other specialties as needed
• Additional duties and responsibilities as required by the department/division
  

Non-Clinical Duties and Responsibilities:

• Demonstrate professional collaborative and consultative relationships with other providers
• Participate in departmental and organizational committees and programs as appropriate and attends all required meetings, in-services, and professional trainings
• Maintain superior interpersonal and communication skills as a member of the healthcare team in order to collaborate effectively with patients, families, staff, and community health workers
• Remain actively involved in continuing education with a commitment to self and departmental growth
• Adhere to all established safety policies, procedures, and precautions; identify potential or actual unsafe situations in the environment and takes measures to rectify the situation
• Demonstrate understanding of procedures, policies, and documentation required to ensure compliance with hospital standards of care

Requirements:

• Ability to work in a high stress, dynamic, busy clinical setting with changing organizational climate
• Ability to utilize appropriate problem-solving and conflict resolution skills
• Energetic and quality driven, with proven ability to be a productive member of a team dedicated to providing optimal patient care
• Maintain the highest degree of professional judgment
• Current DEA registration and Massachusetts Controlled Substance Registration, or ability to obtain
• Requires a minimum of 1 to 2 years’ experience in General Surgery or other surgical specialty
