      RTI Surgical is a global, industry-leading private label OEM with expertise in allograft, xenograft and synthetic-based implants. RTI began operations in 1998 when it spun off from the University of Florida Tissue Bank in 1998 with the goal of expanding the gift of tissue donation by pioneering tissue-based innovations that promote natural healing.       As a Private Label Original Equipment Manufacturer (PLOEM) partner, RTI provides comprehensive turn-key services for development and product life cycle management in support of patients and leading medical technology companies. RTI’s implants are used in multiple surgical applications including dental, spine, sports medicine, plastic and reconstructive surgery, urology/urogynecology and trauma.

      POSITION SUMMARY:

      The Surgical Consultant (Sales Representative) grows sales revenue to specific Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery (PRS) and General Surgery product lines by utilizing all available and ethical avenues to introduce RTI products to hospitals and surgeons within the assigned territory. This includes plastic surgery and abdominal wall repair. They increase brand recognition and confidence by representing RTI to customers and partners in the most professional way possible. Coupling technical knowledge with excellent customer service, the Surgical Consultant drives growth for the company and ensures revenue targets are being met or exceeded.

      RESPONSIBILITIES:

      • Meets yearly sales goals by identifying objectives, target accounts, key clinicians, and other areas central to achieving these goals
      • Maintains contact lists and follow up with customers to continue relationships
      • Travels to all accounts within assigned territory
      • Delivers sales activities and customer support of products within their aligned hospitals, operating rooms, and clinics including providing coverage and support for surgical procedures
      • Proactively educates themself on customers
      • Performs in-service sessions for customers and demonstrates the proper use of all products/ devices to surgeons, nurses, scrub techs and other hospital staff Be knowledgeable about the product
      • Identifies prospective customers, lead generation, and conversion
      • Contacts new and existing customers to discuss needs
      • Emphasizes the features of the products to highlight how they solve customer problems
      • Answers questions about the products with scientific and technical acumen

      EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

      • Bachelor’s degree required, preferably in a relevant field
      • 5+ years of direct sales experience in med device, preferably in biologics
      • Background in hospital-based sales highly preferred
      • A valid driver's license issued in one of the 50 States with a clean driving record

      Physical Requirements:

      Light work: Physically handle objects up to 20 lbs. occasionally.

      Work Environment:

      Home Office Setting – travel required 50% of time on average
