      Mountain View Hospital is looking for a Surgical Supply Technician to join our team!

      JOB SUMMARY: The surgical materials clerk ensures that all members of the surgical team have the appropriate supplies to perform scheduled surgical services.

      Please note benefits are based on eligibility according to full-time, part-time or PRN status classification.

      DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
      The Surgical Supply Tech:

      1. Prepare and pick for all surgical cases on schedule; stay stocked for two days in advance of schedule. Pick add-on cases day of surgery.
      2. Print and post surgery schedule daily.
      3. Stock anesthesia and all operating rooms daily.
      4. Check and fill all warmers with needed fluids.
      5. Receive stock and put it in appropriate storage spaces. Assist in maintaining appropriate par levels.
      6. Assist with stocking suture pods.
      7. Check all bar codes identifying stock for accuracy.
      8. Return carts to materials and assist with pulling additional supplies as needed.
      9. Performs other related duties incidental to work described herein and as requested by the Surgery Supply Lead and Surgical Services Manager.
      10. Is fully knowledgeable of policies and procedures of MVH.
      11. Is fully knowledgeable of Infection Control Policies.

      Qualifications


      Education/Certification: High school graduate or equivalent.

      Experience: Experience with medical supplies preferred.

      Equipment/Technology: Experience with computers.

      Language/Communication: Must have the ability to effectively read, write, and speak English.

      Mental Capabilities: Can frequently and consistently make sound judgments.

      Interpersonal: Works well with others.

      Performance: Can work well under pressure and meet multiple and competing deadlines.
