SURGICAL TECHNICIAN TRAINEE
The trainee will be in program training for all knowledge/skills listed below:
Under the direction of a Registered Nurse, performs duties in the operating room to assist the surgical team in surgical services, such as scrubbing on all types of operative procedures, obtaining and preparing instruments and equipment and maintaining a clean and safe surgical environment. Performs any one or more of the measures specific to the Surgical Technologist I job description, for a specified period of time, as assigned by the Nurse Manager.
High school diploma or equivalent. Enrolled in accredited Surgical Technologist Program and three months of prior experience as a Surgical Technician preferred.
