- Maintains a working knowledge of all rules and regulations of the Gaming Commission and ensures strict adherence to same throughout the property.
- Oversees the installation, configuring, maintenance, and repair of all surveillance equipment.
- Schedules and performs preventative maintenance on all casino surveillance equipment.
- Maintains and is responsible all system programming.
- Maintains and is responsible for the repair within the monitor rooms.
- Responds expeditiously to critical system needs or emergencies.
- Maintains and is responsible for a spare parts inventory for CCTV repair, recording devices, cameras, and all other system related equipment.
- Installs and maintains all CCTV cameras, recording devices, expansion equipment, and related wiring on property.
- Oversees the repairs of damaged or malfunctioning equipment.
- Implements preventative maintenance programs designed to eliminate system failures.
- Maintains and programs computer-controlled matrix switch supporting system monitors and cameras.
- Routinely inspects power supply and wiring to all surveillance equipment, identifying and correcting any potential problems.
- Ensures that the appropriate inventory of equipment and supplies is kept on hand at all times, and orders and re-stocks same, as needed.
- Consults with the Director of Surveillance Systems and vendors on specific types of equipment needed for Surveillance Projects. Facilitates the flow of information throughout the department, by attending regularly scheduled departmental meetings.
- Is held accountable for the accuracy and thoroughness of departmental records and reports.
- Operates property vehicles as directed to do so.

- Associates/Bachelor’s degree in electronic and/or electrical engineering technology or three to five years CCTV experience required.
- Two to three years of work experience in MIS (Management Information System), IS (Information System) or IT (Information Technology) within a casino environment and/or surveillance system engineer specializing in casino CCTV related computer systems and software.
- Experience with computer networking technology, terminology, hardware and software.
- Experience with DVR and/or NVR assembly, installation and programming.
- Experience with Windows and Linux operating systems; including, but not limited to, Windows 7, Windows 10, and Windows Server 20012 R2 and later. Knowledge of TCP/IP and UDP protocols.
- Familiar with PHP scripting language and MySQL relational database management system.
- Knowledge of how the surveillance system operates and how the monitor room is cabled.
- Troubleshooting skills to manage and maintain complex systems.
- Experience or certification installing, managing or handling fiber optic cable and equipment.
- Knowledge of and experience with CCTV equipment.
- Must possess excellent communication skills.
- Experience in gaming surveillance technology and knowledge of cabling standards.
- Should have experience in digital video systems, network design, and network security systems.
- Must have an overall understanding of Tribal Gaming laws as they apply to surveillance.
SUMMARY:
Responsible for overseeing accurate testing, programming, repair and proper operation of all surveillance equipment, computer systems, network equipment, and software applications on property, including closed circuit televisions, surveillance network, and electronic security devices.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Supervises Surveillance Engineers in the installation, maintenance, and repair of all surveillance equipment. Evaluates surveillance monitoring systems operations for safety, cost effectiveness, efficiency and reliability.

Ability to read, analyze, and interpret the most complex of documents, such as technical journals, financial reports and legal documents. Ability to write effective letters, memos, speeches. and articles for publication. Ability to respond to inquiries or complaints from staff members at all levels, guests, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community. Ability to effectively communicate in one-on-one, small group, and large group settings. Ability to effectively present information to top management and public groups.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:
Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals, and work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference. Ability to proficiently understand and utilize Ohm’s Law.
REASONING ABILITY:
Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.

The noise level in the office work environment is usually moderate. When on the casino floor, the noise level in creases to loud. A casino environment is typically smoky.
