Job Title: Surveyor

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Surveyor to join our dynamic team. This role involves performing various surveying tasks to support both field crew and office staff in Michigan. You will provide technical expertise in topographic, construction, and boundary surveying techniques, contributing significantly to the preparation of AutoCad drawings and other essential surveying documents.

Responsibilities

• Act as an in-house field surveyor to supplement field crew and office staff.
• Perform 'Rodman' type work, staking out properties for residential and commercial projects.
• Provide technical expertise in topographic, construction, and boundary surveying techniques.
• Conduct survey activities including leveling, traversing, topographic mapping, construction layout, as-built surveys, boundary surveys, profile, and cross-section surveys.
• Calculate parcel and lot line locations and/or easement lines using taxation and title information.
• Prepare easement and right-of-way descriptions and documents, complete with drawings.

Essential Skills

• 1+ year of experience in field surveying.
• Proficiency in topography, boundary, Alta, and construction surveying.
• Ability to work outdoors in varying Ohio weather conditions.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Surveying and Mapping is preferred.
• Experience using Civil3d, Auto Cad, or Carlson software.
• Familiarity with ODOT Survey Standards.

Work Environment

The role involves working in the field almost 100% of the time, with the provision of a company truck for travel to job sites. The work encompasses both outdoor and indoor tasks, offering a variety of roles in construction, site development, and surveying for municipal, residential, and commercial projects.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $28.00 - $38.00/hr.
