      About the role

      Our Advisory Team helps our clients create business value through emissions management and carbon strategy. Our service offering includes a suite of interventions that form the basis of our A to Zero go-to-market strategy, carefully designed to support each stage of the corporate Net Zero Transformation journey.

      Reporting to Senior and Managing Consultants within our Advisory Team, the Consultant will be required to work closely with members of the local and international teams to support and lead ongoing project delivery and help meet client needs. External relationships will be an important part of the role, with a requirement to liaise with project teams, clients, overseas offices, and representatives from partner organizations.

      The successful candidate will join a team of collaborative and future-focused climate experts in a creative, warm, and inclusive work environment. Candidates should bring a consultative mindset to addressing climate-related business challenges.

      Your impact

      • Leading a team of analysts to determine the strategic direction of client projects and guiding project execution, ensuring exceptional delivery quality while mentoring junior members of the team.
      • Directly liaising with clients and actively managing and building relationships on each project.
      • Supporting business development opportunities with prospective and existing clients by responding to inbound messages and RFPs.
      • Developing deep expertise on one or more key service that EcoAct offers.
      • Contributing to internal process improvement or service line development by participating in global initiatives and working groups.

      Qualifications

      • Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited university or college in a related field; Advanced Degree preferred.
      • Minimum of 2 years of post-graduate experience in either a climate-related or adjacent consulting role , including experience of working in a consultative manner to understand stakeholder needs and guide them to a solution.
      • Exposure to and experience in at least one of EcoAct’s net-zero services (GHG accounting, LCA, SBT, decarbonization strategy, climate risk, climate disclosures).
      • A clear aptitude for analytical and conceptual problem solving and comfort conducting quantitative analysis.
      • Commercial intuition, including experience supporting and leading proposal development for prospective clients.
      • Well-organized, with the ability to manage project deliveries on time and within budget across multiple simultaneous client engagements.
      • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to speak and present information with confidence in front of a senior audience.
      • Effective writing skills, with an ability to write concise, compelling, and well-structured documents and reports.
      • An ability to create and maintain relationships with networks of existing and potential clients.
      • Strong leadership and management skills and a team player with high personal and professional standards, who can mentor and motivate more junior staff.

      Compensation range:

      For this New York or REMOTE based position, the expected compensation range is $95,000 - $110,000 per year, which includes base pay and short-term incentive.

      The compensation range for this full-time position applies to candidates located within the United States. Our salary ranges are determined by reviewing roles of similar responsibility and level. Within the salary range, individual pay is determined by several factors including performance, knowledge, job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
