      The SVP, Data Analytics & Research will be responsible for building and leading the data analytics and research capabilities for EQ Office. In collaboration with EQ leadership, this role will develop and deliver research strategies to support the business and drive value.

      EQ is focused on leveraging data, analytics, and research to help identify market and sector trends, assess potential risks, and help drive successful business outcomes across corporate functions, including investments, asset management, and leasing.

      The research and analysis that EQ creates is further leveraged by the Blackstone team to inform and shape their view of the market and investment decisioning.

      Essential Job Functions

      Market Research

      • Conduct in-depth research and analysis of the U.S. office market to understand trends, demographics, economic and other factors impacting the sector with a focus on EQ target markets
      • Monitor and interpret macroeconomic trends and their potential impact to commercial real estate, the office sector and EQ’s portfolio
      • Identify notable data trends/insights and make recommendations that support business goals and drive outcomes
      • Establish partnerships with industry groups and external partners to acquire data and enhance in-house analytics
      • Develop and drive a coordinated research engagement across company verticals and partner with business leads to support departmental and broader corporate goals
      • Develop proprietary predictive models to forecast market trends and identify strategic opportunities

      Data Management and Reporting

      • Evaluate and implement best-in-class data analytics and research systems to enhance EQ’s data and analytics platform, departmental efficiency, data quality and reporting
      • Oversee and prepare regular reports, presentations, and dashboards to communicate key findings and insights to EQ, as well as critical stakeholders, including Blackstone

      Thought Leadership

      • Represent EQ Office at industry conferences, seminars, and events highlighting thought leadership and expertise across relevant data driven topics
      • Publish whitepapers, articles, and blog posts on relevant research topics to establish EQ as a thought leader in the sector

      Team Management

      • Establish, lead, and manage EQ’s Data and Analytics team
      • Determine clear departmental and performance expectations and provide ongoing mentorship and coaching to team members
      • Foster a collaborative and innovative work environment

      Qualifications

      • Minimum 15 years of relevant experience with a focus on economic and commercial real estate research and analytics
      • Proficiency in understanding the commercial office market, economic concepts, and data analysis
      • Minimum undergraduate degree in economics, finance, applied mathematics, statistics or other relevant major
      • Knowledge of applicable data platforms, systems and tools
      • Advanced proficiency synthesizing and interpreting large data sets to identify trends and make recommendations that support and drive accretive or positive (pick one) business and investment outcomes
      • Advanced proficiency in economic and financial modeling & forecasting
      • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
      • Experience presenting and articulating complex ideas and strategies to C-Suite, investors, clients or other key stakeholders
      • Strong leadership and supervisory capability
      • Exceptional written communication skills and an ability to produce concise, visually appealing presentations
      • Occasional travel will be required

      Base Salary Range: $275,000-$325,000. This represents the presently anticipated low and high end of the Company's base salary range for this position. The actual base salary range may vary based on various factors, including but not limited to location and experience.

      Total Direct Compensation: This position is also eligible for discretionary bonus and incentive compensation on an annual basis.
