      Role Summary/Purpose:

      Reporting to the SVP, Lifestyle Platform Leader, the SVP, GM – Luxury Markets is responsible for leading and managing all aspects of client relationships and performance for a distributed group of partners in the Jewelry and Art industry. This strategic and highly visible role requires an energetic, passionate leader with demonstrated ability to drive growth and change via a balanced focus on customers, people, process, and innovation. You will have the opportunity to develop a team of sales relationship managers and partner cross-functionally with business leaders to grow the consumer credit portfolio for the Luxury industry segment.

      We’re proud to offer you choice and flexibility. You have the option to be remote, and work from home, or come into one of our offices. You may be occasionally requested to commute to our nearest office for in person engagement activities such as team meetings, training and culture events.

      Essential Responsibilities:

      • Lead cross-functional team in the development and implementation of key strategies required to drive market penetration and growth in relevant retail market segments

      • Develop, execute, and effectively communicate detailed client profitability and growth strategies

      • Own execution of a comprehensive sales force effectiveness plans needed to execute detailed business growth strategies

      • Partner with Marketing team to develop and execute an effective market focused partner messaging and communication strategy

      • Drive professional development, mentoring and coaching of sales team direct reports

      • Lead contract administration, deal renewal, budgeting and forecasting process for assigned business portfolio

      • Provide leadership to ensure adherence with all external and internal Compliance and Regulatory requirements

      • Establish strong working business relationship with clients and key industry contacts

      • Become the Synchrony “Face to the Industry" for assigned market segment

      • Support business wide initiatives as needed

      • Perform other duties and/or special projects as assigned

      Qualifications/Requirements:

      • Bachelor’s degree and 8+ years of progressive client relationship management/ sales experience, or in lieu of a Bachelor’s Degree, a high school diploma / GED and 12+ years of progressive client relationship management/ sales.

      • 5 years+ People Management experience including experience leading sales teams and influencing in a matrixed environment.

      • 3 years+ experience leading/closing contract negotiations, competitive pricing, business planning and P&L management.

      • Strong overall knowledge of card business including risk, collections, operations, marketing and finance

      • Must be willing to travel up to 35% of the time

      Desired Characteristics:

      • Retail Industry / Retail Credit Card Experience

      • Financial Services experience including dual card and private label

      • Demonstrated marketing, creative and analytical skills

      • Ability to influence senior corporate decision makers

      • Ability to effectively interface and represent SYF at the most senior levels in the client organization

      • eCommerce, and Payment Industry experience

      • Excellent written and verbal business presentation and communication skills

      • Proven ability to innovate and find creative solutions to meeting business goals

      • Proven ability to work independently yet operate as key member and contributor to a broader team

      • Demonstrated clear thinker with a proven track of being able to develop, articulate and execute a clear growth oriented vision and strategy for an assigned business segments

      • Experience leading enterprise wide, multi-million dollar business launches with positive year over year results

      Grade/Level: 15

      The salary range for this position is 200,000.00 - 330,000.00 USD Annual and is eligible for an annual bonus based on individual and company performance.

      Actual compensation offered within the posted salary range will be based upon work experience, skill level or knowledge.

      Salaries are adjusted according to market in CA, NY Metro and Seattle.

      Eligibility Requirements:

      • You must be 18 years or older

      • You must have a high school diploma or equivalent

      • You must be willing to take a drug test, submit to a background investigation and submit fingerprints as part of the onboarding process

      • You must be able to satisfy the requirements of Section 19 of the Federal Deposit Insurance Act.

      • New hires (Level 4-7) must have 9 months of continuous service with the company before they are eligible to post on other roles. Once this new hire time in position requirement is met, the associate will have a minimum 6 months’ time in position before they can post for future non-exempt roles. Employees, level 8 or greater, must have at least 18 months’ time in position before they can post. All internal employees must consistently meet performance expectations and have approval from your manager to post (or the approval of your manager and HR if you don’t meet the time in position or performance expectations).
