Provides senior technology vision, leadership, and strategy to drive IT programs related to the overall PP portfolio; partners with client team to identify new opportunities to drive growth and integration; ensures optimization of cross functional client initiatives.
Responsible for oversight of client related technical conversion/integration programs; provides executive input, issue resolution, and risk mitigation across portfolios.
Coach, develop and inspire a team across both initiatives and run activities. Ensure organization is aligned to efficiently handle client requests.
Proactively identifies new opportunities to drive process improvements and simplification in support of delivery and productivity for our clients; ongoing analysis of project priorities and planning
Develops and guides the innovation and new technology investment strategies.
Responsible for wing to wing delivery of client aligned initiatives, including resource assignment, issue resolution and budget management
Develops peer, cross functional and cross client relationships to maximize best practice sharing and team effectiveness. Partner with multiple business and technology teams to ensure we have focus and process consistency across all customers and platforms.
Monitor, measure, and report performance against key client metrics.
Set the right tone and posture around all financial, regulatory, compliance, and process governance
Financial planning and ownership of program budgets.
Leverage industry network resources to benchmark and identify trending and opportunity
Creates, communicates, and manages the project plans and other required project documentation and provides updates as necessary. Maintains project documentation, including project charter, requirements, conceptual design, test plans, schedules, and presentations
Perform other duties and/or special projects as assigned
Bachelor’s Degree and 12+ years of IT experience (in lieu of degree, 20 years of IT work experience to include the following:)
Minimum of 7+ years of leadership experience driving large programs across large financial services or technology business.
Minimum of 7+ years of experience developing and executing strategic plans, influencing skills, managing complex program and leading collaborative relationships in a cross- functional team environment.
Minimum 7+ years managing scalable teams
Deep technical understanding of architecture, technology, and credit card processes.
Working knowledge of the continuous improvement process.
Superior oral, written, and client communication skills, as well as the ability to manage expectations of the business, clients, team members, management and external groups.
Proven track record as a strategic technology business partner
Exemplary abilities to lead critical business initiatives on-time and within budget
Demonstrated effectiveness in driving change and working effectively across business boundaries
Expertise in complex project management
Superior decision-making, client relationship, and supplier management skills.
Demonstrated competency aligning business strategy with technology initiatives
Strong customer focus and ability to manage customer expectations
You must be 18 years or older
You must have a high school diploma or equivalent
You must be willing to take a drug test, submit to a background investigation and submit fingerprints as part of the onboarding process
You must be able to satisfy the requirements of Section 19 of the Federal Deposit Insurance Act.
New hires (Level 4-7) must have 9 months of continuous service with the company before they are eligible to post on other roles. Once this new hire time in position requirement is met, the associate will have a minimum 6 months’ time in position before they can post for future non-exempt roles. Role Summary/Purpose:
The SVP, PayPal & Venmo Technology Leader is responsible, for providing senior technology vision, leadership and strategy to drive Technology programs for the overall PayPal portfolio to meet client growth, innovation, and productivity expectations. This role aligns with leadership strategies, and drives innovative thinking to advance technology and meet customer and merchants demands. This role interacts with and influences client leaders to determine and drive delivery of technology priorities across our clients.
This role is responsible for delivering innovation for the PayPal portfolio, as well as identifying emerging technology and fintech investment and acquisition opportunities as part of the broader PayPal ecosystem.
We’re proud to offer you choice and flexibility. You have the option to be remote, and work from home, or come into one of our offices. You may be occasionally requested to commute to our nearest office for in person engagement activities such as team meetings, training and culture events.

The salary range for this position is 200,000.00 - 330,000.00 USD Annual and is eligible for an annual bonus based on individual and company performance.
Actual compensation offered within the posted salary range will be based upon work experience, skill level or knowledge.
Salaries are adjusted according to market in CA, NY Metro and Seattle.
