- 5 years direct/related experience (2-3 years within the 5 years must be relevant/direct application development experience).
- Experience developing software applications using Java and Python.
- Experience using PostgreSQL toola, such as pgadmin or DBeaver
- Experience developing in both Windows and Linux workstations.
- Experience developing in a modern Integrated Development Environment (IDE). (Intellij preferred)
- Experience with Eclipse or NetBeans would be beneficial.
- Experience developing basic shell scripting in Linux and Windows.
- Experience using Git as a software source repository.
- Experience with using tools such as Maven for software build tools and Jira and Confluence for document tracking.
- Experience with Agile development process as a software developer.
- Experience writing code using C++ to interface with (be embedded into) GIS (such as WorldWind, OpenMap, or other mapping tool)
- Must have TS/SCI with DCID 6/4 eligibility within 5.5 years at the time of application
- Must be willing to submit to a CI polygraph
- Active DoD 8570.01-M IASAE-II certification (e.g. CASP CE, CISSP (or Associate), or CSSLP or better)
- Experience with Spring Boot/JPA.
- Working knowledge of radar, electronic warfare systems (EWS) and geographic information systems (GIS) would be beneficial.
- Web based applications development using C#, ASP.Net, XML, HTML, or SQL
- Experience developing unit tests and test plans
- Experience developing platform agnostic applications
- Experience in relational database systems such as MySQL, Microsoft SQL, or Oracle Database.
- Strong experience optimizing SQL stored procedures and functions
- Experience with scripting languages such as PowerShell, Bash, VBScript, or Perl
- Experience with tools and concepts supporting software version control systems
- Technical knowledge and technical writing ability for writing technical requirements, design documents, and deployment documentation.
- BS or BA degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or Mathematics

Jacobs is seeking a qualified Software Engineer/Application Developer to support the United States Air Force’s 53rd Wing Technical Support Services (53rd WTSS) contract. This contract supports the 53rd Wing and 96th Test Wing, both headquartered at Eglin AFB, FL and with units CONUS-wide. This position will support the 453rd Electronic Warfare Squadron (EWS) at Lackland AFB, TX. The 53 WG is the focal point for the Combat Air Forces in electronic warfare and is responsible for operational test and evaluation of advanced equipment and systems. The 96 TW is the USAF’s test and evaluation center for advanced air-delivered weapons, navigation and guidance systems, and C2 systems. The 53rd WTSS team partners with military and civilian personnel to provide world-class IT technical support for the 53 WG and 96 TW missions. The 53rd WTSS IT support covers full lifecycle IT from concept, to deployment, day-to-day operations / maintenance, and culminating in system retirement / replacement / upgrade.

Job Description
Jacobs is seeking a self-motivated, energetic Software Engineer/Application Developer that will provide support a diverse USAF special enclave network supporting the 453rd EWS. This position provides project guidance / advice and technical support to support classified networks and associated operations personnel.
The successful candidate will use Java and Python to develop software applications and connect, read from, and write to PostgreSQL databases. Additional duties will include granting privileges to tables, user creation/account management, transferring data, writing shell scripts, etc.
