  About the Role:

  We are seeking a skilled SWIFT Infrastructure Support Engineer to serve as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) in supporting internal SWIFT infrastructure. This is a hybrid, full-time position based out of Plano, TX or Reston, VA , offering an opportunity to work within a dynamic and collaborative technology team at the forefront of secure messaging systems.

  Key Responsibilities

  • Provide subject matter expertise in SWIFT infrastructure , ensuring robust, secure, and high-performance operations of Alliance Access, Gateway, Cloud, and Web Platform.
  • Engineer, configure, and maintain Linux and Unix-based systems supporting SWIFT applications.
  • Migrate SWIFT-related infrastructure and services to cloud-based environments with a focus on scalability and resilience.
  • Collaborate with other technology teams to integrate messaging and middleware technologies like IBM MQ, AWS SQS/SNS , and ensure interoperability.
  • Utilize Python programming for scripting, automation, and integration with APIs.
  • Troubleshoot complex system and operational issues, applying best practices to enhance performance, reliability, and security.

  Minimum Required Experience

  • 2+ years of experience with SWIFT technologies and infrastructure (Alliance Access, Alliance Cloud, Gateway, HSM, Alliance Connect, Web Platform).
  • 2+ years of engineering experience with Linux/Unix systems .
  • Experience migrating on-prem infrastructure to the cloud (AWS preferred).
  • Proficient in Python programming.
  • Experience with middleware/messaging systems such as IBM MQ, AWS SQS/SNS .

  Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience.
  • Experience working in Agile environments .
  • Familiarity with collaborative tools such as SharePoint and Confluence .
  • Experience using JIRA for task tracking and sprint planning.
  • Solid understanding of:
    • SQL
    • REST APIs
    • XML
    • UNIX command line tools
    • SWIFT APIs and integration methods

  Tools & Technologies:

  • SWIFT : Alliance Access, Alliance Gateway, Alliance Cloud, Web Platform
  • Middleware : IBM MQ, AWS SQS/SNS
  • Languages : Python, SQL, XML
  • Platforms : UNIX/Linux, Cloud Environments (AWS preferred)
  • Dev Tools : JIRA, Confluence, SharePoint
  • APIs : RESTful, SWIFT integration
