    • Plan and lead daily practices during the swim season.

    • Coach and supervise student-athletes at practices, meets, and team events.

    • Develop and implement training programs to improve swimmers' technique, endurance, and performance.

    • Coordinate meet schedules, transportation, and communication with athletes and parents.

    • Ensure all program activities adhere to school policies, league regulations, and safety standards.

    • Work collaboratively with athletic department staff, school administrators, and assistant coaches.

    • Support academic achievement and character development among student-athletes.

    • Maintain accurate records of participation, meet results, and required documentation.

    • Prior coaching experience at the high school, club, or collegiate level is strongly preferred.

    • In-depth knowledge of swim training techniques, stroke mechanics, and competitive strategies.

    • Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.

    • Ability to motivate and mentor student-athletes.

    • CPR, First Aid, and Lifeguard Certification (or willingness to obtain prior to the season).

    • Must meet all district and state coaching certification requirements.

    • Valid teaching certification or experience working with youth in an educational setting.

    • Experience coordinating team logistics and managing swim meet operations.

    • Familiarity with CIF rules and regulations (if applicable to your state/region).

      Position Overview:
      Greenwood High School is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Swim Coach to lead our boys’ and girls’ swim teams for the 2025–2026 academic year. The ideal candidate will foster a positive and competitive team environment that supports student-athlete development, sportsmanship, and academic achievement. This is a seasonal, stipend-based coaching position.
