      The Woodruff Family Y is seeking Swim Instructors to help teach and inspire swimmers of all ages and skill levels. This role is responsible for leading swim lessons, providing instruction and motivation, and ensuring a safe and welcoming environment for all participants. plays a vital role in delivering high-quality, mission-driven aquatics programs. This position is responsible for providing swim instruction in alignment with Y standards while ensuring a safe, supportive, and inclusive environment for all participants.       Key Responsibilities:

      • Provide swim instruction to participants of varying skill levels following YMCA guidelines.
      • Develop lesson plans and progress reports to track participant improvement.
      • Ensure a safe and positive learning environment by following YMCA safety protocols.
      • Engage with swimmers and their families, providing encouragement and guidance.
      • Monitor pool surroundings and maintain constant awareness of participant safety.
      • Be an ambassador for YMCA aquatic programs, helping promote membership and engagement.
      • Attend all required meetings and training sessions.
      • Minimum age of 16 years.
      • Ability to demonstrate proper swimming techniques and instruct participants effectively.
      • Must obtain and maintain CPR, AED, First Aid, and Oxygen Administration certifications within 60 days of employment.
      • Must obtain and maintain YMCA Swim Lessons Instructor certification within 6 months of employment.
      • Strong communication and organizational skills with a passion for helping others.
      • Ability to work with diverse populations, including youth and adults.
      • Must successfully complete a swimming and physical skills test upon hire and annually.
      • Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
