He angitūtanga: The opportunity
We are looking for an assessor within the swimming pool compliance team. This role inspects new and existing residential pool fencing to ensure compliance in relation to the Building Act 2004 and other related legislation and policy.
Reporting to the Team Leader Swimming Pools Compliance, you will carry out pool barrier inspections and investigations in line with council policy for existing residential pools. You will also work on investigations leading to further enforcement action up to and including prosecution.
He kōrero mōu: About you
You have proven experience within building and construction, dispute resolution, and or mediation in a regulatory or law enforcement environment would be preferred for this role. You would also have a good understanding of local government or building legislation. Naturally, you will have great interpersonal and relationship management skills and a strong customer focus approach. Good verbal and written communication skills are non-negotiable for this role.
A full NZ Driver’s License is required and the ability to swim is a must for this role.
