Title: Switch Engineer
Location: Remote
Duration: 12 months
Description:
The switch engineer will be responsible for daily activation of ports / tunnels / timings needed for NR. Troubleshoot configurations and fibers as needed making sure link levels are sufficient and no packet errors.
Perform vDU testing to ensure port is up and servers are reachable.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Knowledge of switching fundamentals.
• Knowledge of routing protocols.
• Familiar with Nokia routers eg 7705, 7250, 7750.
• Generate CSR scripting configuration file via portal or manual scripting as needed.
• Daily support of CSR migration.
• Configuring ports / tunnels needed for small cell activation.
• Troubleshoot configurations and fibers as needed.
• Knowledge of different Verizon Tools
